Lashleys, Saint Philip, Barbados is the lifework of the architect, Michael C. Lashley, with the goal of re-establishing a link with past generations of the Lashley Family who were believed to live in the area over 100 years ago. The barren 4 acres of land which was purchased in 1971 has been transformed into a lush environment which contains several residences and also houses the office of Michael C. Lashley Architects Ltd. All the structures in Lashleys have been designed and executed by Mr. Lashley in accordance with his design ideals and standards.
The story did not start at Lashleys but began in Bay Street, Saint Michael, Barbados in what was known as Bay Gallery. Michael C. Lashley was born and raised in this house later in his life his architectural firm was housed there until 2002 when the firm moved to Lashleys. The modern office space which the firm currently occupies is fully equipped to handle all of our clients design needs and desires. Bay Gallery was sadly demolished by the Government of Barbados in 2003, to allow for widening of the road in that area of Lower Bay Street. The image below is a depiction of our office, which gives you the viewer a vision of the architecture we produce at Michael Lashley Architects Ltd.
